Can Your Calendar Handle This?

Do you know about the plethora of LGBTQ things coming up in Baton Rouge?!

As if Decadence wasn’t enough to wear us out for the rest of the month.

Tuesday September 6
SPECTRUM general meeting. The first one of the school year, at that. Everything that needs to be addressed at a first meeting will be addressed, so show up. By the way y’all, they totally have a re-vamped website that looks HOTT. Check it out, then go to the meeting. Vieux Carre Room 325 in the LSU Student Union. 6pm-8pm.

Thursday September 8
CCA’s Back to School Party at George’s Place starting at 9pm. Show up, drink (if you’re old enough), sing, show the rest of the queers in this city just how much fun you can be! RSVP on facebook if you want.

Tuesday September 13
Eric Alva, the national spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign’s effort to repeal the military’s discriminatory “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, will be speaking in the LSU Student Union from 7pm-10pm as part of Civility Week at LSU. Read more?

Saturday September 17
FREE! A PERFORMANCE FOR PEACE! Remember when I wrote about my friend Dylan’s campaign to raise money for theatre training abroad? Well this event goes hand in hand with her campaign. Straight from the facebook invite: Dylan has crafted a unique production to benefit her upcoming activism in Northern Ireland and Occupied Palestine…
Come enjoy 40 minutes of spoken word, original music and radical feminist aerial silk performance! Y’all, this is gonna be so good. 7:30pm. Pay what you can (suggested $5 donation) in Room 166 of the Music & Dramatic Arts building on LSU’s campus. There’s also an afterparty! But you have to go to the performance to be invited to that…so do that!

There’s more…but I’m getting tired. Check back later, loves!
